Maui, Hawaii

We went to Maui, Hawaii October 22-30, 2008 for Scotts sisters wedding. There was 57 friends and family members who were able to attend. We flew United and were able to upgrade to economy plus which was great! The flight was great and we arrived on Wednesday at 10:45 in the morning. We were supposed to go from COS-SFO-LAX-OGG. Instead when we arrived at the COS airport, my mom went up and asked the agent if we could get on the direct flight and he said sure. It didn't cost us extra and we arrived in LAX early and walked from one gate and right on the next plane. We were supposed to get in at 4:30pm, but got there much earlier. It was wonderful! We did a few tourist things but just hung out together. With us just being there a year ago, we decided to not do the sight seeing stuff again. We used our time share and were able to stay at The Kaanapali Beach Club. We had a nice room with a fabulous view. We went to a Luau, Scott did a fishing trip with the guys, drove around, went to a Lavender field, went swimming in the ocean and pool and spent time with family. We had a great time and can't wait to go back someday.

The Pineapple Plantation:
Grammy, Aunt Cathy, Amy, Emmali and us went to the plantation to take a tour of their grounds. The had every flower, fruit and vegetable growing there that they grow on all the islands, even coffee. It was really neat and so beautiful. I had a coupon for a free bag of coffee from there. They showed us how to crack open a coconut in less than a minute. I guess the record is 30 seconds by a women in Lahaina and she uses her teeth! It was a lot of fun and we all enjoyed going there.

Old Lahaina Luau:
There was a group of us who went to the Luau and had a wonderful time. The food was pretty good and the dancing was great! We all had a wonderful time. The kids actually were falling asleep during the show, so Scott offered to take them back to the hotel before it was all over.
