Our Trip To Phoenix!

Noah, Kaitlyn, Grandma Jana and I went to Phoenix March 9-15th to see Great-Great Aunt Dorothy and Great-Grandma Velda. We had a wonderful time! The weather was nice and warm! We were able to go to the pool, go for walks around the lake, drive the golf cart, pick different fruits off the trees, go to a parade, and spend time together!

Grandma Jana with Noah & Kaitlyn

Hanging out in the airport waiting for a flight!

Kaitlyn took her nap on the floor!

Noah took his nap in his chair and we're still waiting to get on a flight!

We left COS at 3:30am to drive to DEN and try to catch the
7:00am flight. Being on standbye and having it be spring break, it was very hard to get on the plane. We missed the first flight, second flight, third flight.....and finally got on the 6th flight out!! The kids were troopers though. They each took a nap in the airport and it was very hard for Noah to understand why we couldn't get on the planes. He kept saying "I want to go now". Another thing about standbye is your the last on the plane, which means you don't get seats together! No, none of us got seats together. Luckly I was able to switch with someone so Kaitlyn and I could sit together, but Noah had to sit by himself. I was so proud of him though! He sat in between 2 people and they helped him with his seat belt and get his tray out etc. We were flying along and about half way through the flight here comes the tears. Noah didn't want to sit by himself anymore! My mom asked the guy next to her to trade (well, lets just say that didn't work out). I can't believe some people wouldn't trade seats! I kept telling Noah he had to go back to his seat because the "fasten seat belt sign" was on and we were going to land soon. He didn't want to and more tears started flowing. After about 5 minutes of crying, the pregnant lady next to me said she would trade. Everything worked out and we made it safe! Kaitlyn fell asleep on the plane going there and coming home. Noah talked the whole time coming home and loved looking out the window!

Great Grandma Velda and Noah!

An afternoon picnic! The weather was in the 90's the entire week and was so nice. The kids enjoyed spending as much time as they could outside. When we flew home and landed in Denver, Noah's first comment was: "where's the sun? It's too cold here and I want to go back to Phoenix"

Noah and I picked all the grapefuit off the tree while Kaitlyn put them into a box! What good helpers!

Great-Great Aunt Dorothy and Great Grandma Velda

She's ready for a ride!

One of Grandma Veldas quilts was on display at "Carriage Manor Days"

One of the many different decorated golf carts!

Noah getting the candy!

Everyone was throwing out candy to the kids!

They had a parade that was really cute! Different people would decorate their golf carts and the theme of the parade was "The Roaring 20's!

We were doing the cake walk at "Carriage Manor Days". Noah won first and when everyone cheered for him, he got scared and started to cry!

Watching the duck race!
